Pretend you are living in ancient Rome and trying to get people to move there. Write an article describing why you think Rome would be a good place to live. Write at least 4 paragraphs. Use information from Chapter 5 that described why Rome was favorable to early settlers and then use your imagination to write the article using the reasons listed in the chapter. This is NOT for extra credit, this is a regular writing assignment.

You should live here at this beautiful place. We have running water, spas, bathrooms, swimming pools (they even have heated water in them). This is the place for anyone who seeks fun and relaxation. The rooms include heating and running water.
During the day we have charriot races and battles in the coleseum. The ampatheatre can hold many people including the stage. At times night or day we will host plays, orchestras, and singers. Our city is very grand and policed.
There are lots of places to buy food, clothing or even precious stones. Our guards are heavily trained and armored. We do not tolerate theives or critisizm. So if you dont like us, don't come.
We have smooth roads that lead strait to our city so finding is will be no problem. Well this is just a bite of what our city is like, so come on over and find out what its really like in person. On your way here there will be stones with engravings on them, they will tell you which way to go and how far from the next town or city. The chances are you will be tired by the time u get here so stop by the room managment area and rent a room.

Wow, i just came back from a place called Rome.it was crazy fun we saw every thing from advaced achitecture to seeing the most beutiful land.it has all kinds of luxerry idems here from spas and pools and best of all a colosem were god knows what happens in there ,find out for yourself what is like
It is well pertected because it was not prone to pirite attacts and it was biult on seven hills so it was not seceptable to ground atacks.
The water is asome because there is pure drinking water here because of the rivers and aqua ducks.
ther is a trade rout so if you are a small bisiness owner take it to the next step and come down here and and trade with outsiders.

I live in this awesome city called Rome which is very convent for many things that I do. I am a hired hand which means that I do whatever the person that is currently hiring me tells me to that I need to do. There is a lot to tell you about the city that I live in however I will tell you the most interesting parts.
The best thing, in my opinion, is how easy it is to defend. There are two things that make it this way. The first is the fact that it is eighteen miles up the river making it safe from sea attacks. The second thing is that it is built on seven hill tops giving us the advantage of both high on the hills and the advantage of being spread out so that it takes longer for them to take the whole city.
The second best thing is that we always have great tasting water. Most of our water comes from the aqua ducts that spread out in to the surrounding area and collects the water from the streams coming from the mountains. The water that dose not come from the aqua ducts comes from the river that goes trough the middle of the city.
The city is a great place to live due mainly to the facts that I have told you about in the preceding. I enjoy living in Rome because It is such a wonderful city. I love Rome, and I think you will think so as well.

There are so many reasons to live in the wonderful place of Ancient Rome. It has the most beautiful architecture in the world! It is located about eighteen miles inland on the Tiber River which is great because it is very easy to get to the ocean. It has running water, bathrooms, swimming pools, and spas. It also has a wonderful government.
The architecture in Ancient Rome is sooo amazing. One of the beautiful pieces of architecture is the Colosseum. The Colosseum has 4 stories and is oval shaped. It can hold 50,000 spectators on marble and wooden benches. Also, located in the Center of Ancient Rome is The Pantheon. It is a stunning building that was built to honor all of the Roman gods and goddesses.
In 312 B.C. the Romans built what is called Aqueducts. Aqueducts supply water to public latrines and baths. The drinking water is pure and tastes really good.
So if you want a place to live that has beautiful architecture, running water, a great location, and great government, Ancient Rome is defiantly the place for you!
You would love to buy a house in Rome. It has a great architecture.It also has beautiful sights.If you are a Christian then Rome is the place for you.The Romans believe in the lord.They also beleive that being a Christian is a good thing.
Romans are monothiestic.which means they beleive in one God.Their religon is very important to them.If your religon is to worship one is to worship one God or your religon is important to you than you should live in Rome.
Rome would be a great place to live.I would live there if I was old enough.It would be a great adventure.Leaning about their life style.You might want to check it out sometime.You might want to live there.
Rome seems like a place you could relax, in a beautiful quiet setting.A very beautiful country
